CT

CT is an 11-month old boy who arrived at Kamuzu Central Hospital complaining of fever and cough. He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and admitted to the hospital, where he was put on antibiotics. At first, the boy responded well to the treatment, but then his mother noticed a rash on his face. After the rash extended to his neck and then entire body, the boy was diagnosed with the measles. He began to have trouble breathing and was in need of oxygen therapy. CT's mother was extremely worried about her son, and the fact that he required oxygen created even more anxiety.
CT was placed on one of the Breath of Life concentrators donated by World Altering Medicine. After some time, CT's condition stabilized. CT's mother began to understand that oxygen is critical to life. She wanted to convey her thanks to the donors and well-wishers who help to provide oxygen concentrators to Kamuzu Central Hospital, for this oxygen in fact saved her child's life. CT is still on oxygen and his condition continues to improve.
